    1. My fee is $250.00 for the initial 60 - 90-minute mental health assessment intake session.

    2. My fee is $150.00 per 45 - 50-minute individual therapy session.

    3. My fee is $55.00 per group session.

    5. I accept all major credit cards, as well as Aetna, United Healthcare/Optum, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans. Private pay is also welcome. If you wish to seek reimbursement, I can provide a detailed superbill (itemized receipt) to help you submit a claim to your insurance company. Before starting services, I recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify your coverage and benefits. You may want to ask the following questions:

      • “I am interested in seeing out-of-network mental health services with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Does my plan provide reimbursement for out-of-network providers?” If yes, follow up with the following questions:

      • How many sessions does my plan cover?

      • Is Telehealth covered?

      • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

      • What is the coverage amount per session?

      • Do I need pre-authorization from my insurance company or PCP?

      • Do I have a co-payment for out-of-network therapy?

      • How many therapy sessions a year are covered?

      • Can you walk me through the steps for submitting my superbill?

      • How long can I expect to wait to be reimbursed?

  • The decision depends on several factors. For children, I generally recommend starting with in-person appointments. This approach allows me to assess their readiness for virtual sessions and ensure they can fully engage online before transitioning. For teens and young adults, online therapy may be an option when appropriate. When providing virtual services, I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform for clients in Virginia.

  • If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice so I can offer the time slot to another client. Cancellations or missed appointments without this notice will incur a $75 fee. I understand that unexpected situations arise, and exceptions may be made for emergencies, illness, or hazardous driving conditions to prioritize your well-being; however, this is determined on a case-by-case basis.
